This is that point in the year where I take some time to unwind and really evaluate the previous schoolyear. It is also the time where I seek the Lord for his direction for my kids.
I know that I do not want to be the one chosing what they should be learning. I have tried that before and it was a horrible mess. This past year was by far the best year yet. And the one thing I can definately contribute that to is the fact that I realized one crucial thing. God knows exactly what both of my children need. And as much as I like to think I know what is best for them, there is only one who knows for sure what they will need to be equipped for the calling the Lord has placed on each of their lives.
So, I have to put my ideas and plans aside and allow room for God's ideas and plans. It takes away the burden that homeschooling can sometimes become. I can't screw this up if I am follows the Masters plan for them.
So over the next couple of weeks I'll really be praying for God's leading as far as curriculum goes. Yes I am one of those mom's who changes curriculum each year. I've even been known to stop something midway if I feel that it isn't what we are supposed to be working on anymore.
This journey called homeschooling has been the greatest adventure of my life.
